Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB) is a premier research center for Genomics, Proteomics and Computational biology. IOB has
established a state-of-the-art human cell culture facility that is being utilized to explore and validate the functional role of
molecules in multiple cancer types. We also strive to identify novel therapeutic targets in a wide array of human diseases ranging from cancer, neurological disorders and infectious diseases.
Workshop Objectives:
Scientists at IOB will share their expertise in carrying out human cell culture and functional assays with the students in India through this workshop. We have successfully conducted multiple workshops on genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics, which was highly beneficial for scientists and students across the country.
As part of this 3-day long intensive training we will introduce, demonstrate and provide theoritical concepts of human cell culture and their application to clinical and biological research. Each participant will get hands-on training in multiple experiments.
