Business World highlighted about Dr. Akhilesh Pandey and Institute of Bioinformatics under 'Biotech' section in its June 2007 issue. |
|
| |
 |
Journal of Proteome Research, in its May 2006 issue, highlighted the
achievements of Akhilesh Pandey and co workers at IOB (India), JHU (USA)
and University of Wurzburg (Germany) in successfully mapping and
assembling largest human interactome. The trend setting analysis of
25,464 human Protein Protein Interactions, tries to reform the
conventional wisdom about conservation of PPIs across related organisms.
It also hints that essential genes need not be highly connected.
Analysis also revealed that genes involved in the same types of diseases
or diseases occurring in the same organ are more likely to interact with
each other. |
